TWO-SPINDLE AUTOMATIC MACHINE FOR INTEGRAL GRINDING OF TOOTH FACE CHAMFER OF STARTER PINIONS WITH AUTOMATIC LOADING/UNLOADING AND CHAIN MAGAZINE TTG02 (ACM54.02)

The machine is equipped with two grinding spindle units which can be set up in different positions by means of a linear displacement in three directions, circular adjustment around the machined gear and inclination in the vertical plane.
The workpiece is executing automatically translation between working and loading/unloading position and tilting movement at an angle of 10° which brings the teeth in contact with the grinding tools.
The two grinding units and are mirror identical, with spindles turning at 8400 RPM. Each spindle is driven through V-belt transmission by an AC electric motor.
The grinding tools are light alloy wheels with CBN-coated faces, featuring:
- extremely high wear resistance, making it possible to avoid the frequent sharpening and tool position resetting which are imposed if ordinary grinding wheels were used;
- higher efficiency;
- lower tool cost rate per machined part;
- better surface finish;
- lack of abrasive particles to be eliminated from the coolant.
A cooling unit with tank and centrifugal pump is located inside the machine frame.
A loading/unloading manipulator with chain magazine is provided as an option, making it possible to work unattended.
